Determinism is the belief that everything is determined by factors outside of one’s self. Some even say that because of this, we could not be held accountable for our actions. If we are just playing out a pre-determined course of action, what choice do we have? Add to that what we now know scientifically about the Beliefs that are the Programming running our Lives at the Subconscious Level and Determinism makes for a very plausible possibility. Simply put, our CONSCIOUS MIND is our Awareness. Read AWARENESS is NECESSARY for FREE WILL to EXIST They include sensations- sight, touch, taste etc. and things we focus on in the present. The Conscious Mind is creative in the sense that you can set a goal.
Freud referred to the CONSCIOUS MIND as the tip of the Iceberg. In the Biology of Belief, Dr Bruce Lipton states that the CONSCIOUS MIND runs our life only 5% of the time with the rest of our life running on autopilot… in the SUBCONSCIOUS MIND.
